Modern Red Calla Lily Arrangement

Simplicity in floral designs can often be the most effective.

This modern floral design features red calla lilies.

A glass container is used as a base.

A block of florist foam has been cut a bit smaller than the container, soaked in water for several minutes and then placed in the container.

Stems of equisetum, also known as horsetail have been cut to the desired length to sit level with the top of the container and placed between the foam and the container.

The calla lily stems have been cut to the desired length and inserted to stand upright in the foam.

In the Floristry Course you will learn how to create different floral designs suitable for many occasions.

If you have not already enrolled in the Floristry Course we would love to have you join us.

Alstroemeria and Happy Plant Flower Arrangement

I hope you had a good Easter break.

We had a great time in Warrnambool which is a city in Victoria known as the shipwreck coast which has a very interesting history.

Alstroemeria are very long lasting flowers.

They can be arranged with other flowers and look wonderful arranged on their own.

This arrangement can be made very quickly.

A tall glass vase has been filled three quarters of the way with water.

The alstroemeria has been placed in the vase having the flower heads about the same height across the top.

The Chinese believe the Happy Plant brings good luck  and several stems have been placed along the centre to give extra height and interest.

In the Floristry Course you will learn how to create many different floral designs.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter.

This setting would be lovely in a florist window or you could create one like this or a smaller version for your home.

This is easy to create and children would love it.

By having the materials displayed at different levels it provides more interest.

Flowers including red tulips, yellow daffodils and white snowdrops are placed in various containers and baskets.

Pastel plastic eggs are tied with ribbon are hung on forsythia branches.

A couple of cute ceramic bunnies are placed between the flowers.
